We are launching the FunctionFly Founders Program — an invite-only cohort of the first 10,000 builders who will help shape the future of AI infrastructure. If you are building AI agents, autonomous workflows, or intelligent applications, this is your opportunity to influence the platform, get direct access to our engineering team, and lock in pricing that will never be available again.

Why a Founders Program?

FunctionFly is still early. We shipped our first production deployment six months ago, and the platform has evolved rapidly since then. But the best infrastructure is built in collaboration with the people who use it. We do not want to guess what you need — we want to build it with you.

The Founders Program is our way of formalizing that collaboration. It is not a beta program where you report bugs and wait for fixes. It is a partnership where your feedback directly shapes the product roadmap, your use cases become first-class features, and your voice carries weight in every product decision we make.

We are capping the program at 10,000 builders. Not because we cannot scale, but because we want every Founder to feel like they matter. At 10,000, we can still read every piece of feedback, respond to every Slack message, and know your use case by name. Beyond that, the personal relationship that makes this program valuable starts to break down.

What Founders Get

Lifetime Pricing

Founders lock in pricing that will never be offered again. As FunctionFly grows and pricing evolves, your rate stays fixed for as long as you remain in the program. This is not a promotional discount that expires — it is a permanent acknowledgment that you took a bet on us early.

The exact pricing depends on your tier, but every Founder pays less than what general availability pricing will be. We published our pricing roadmap so you can see exactly what rates are coming and how much you are saving.

Direct Engineering Access

Every Founder gets access to a dedicated Slack workspace with our engineering team. When you hit a wall at 2 AM, you are not filing a support ticket into a queue. You are messaging the people who wrote the code. Response times are measured in minutes for critical issues, not hours.

For the first 10,000 Founders, this is sustainable. Our engineering team can maintain meaningful relationships with this many builders. We run weekly office hours, monthly architecture reviews, and quarterly roadmap sessions where Founders can present their use cases and get direct feedback.

Roadmap Influence

Founders vote on feature priorities. Every quarter, we share the proposed roadmap and Founders rank what matters most. The top-voted features move to the front of the queue. This is not symbolic — the features we shipped last quarter were directly driven by Founder feedback.

Recent examples of Founder-driven features:

  • Custom runtime timeouts: Founders running long-running data pipelines needed timeouts beyond the default 15 minutes. We shipped configurable timeouts up to 24 hours.
  • State Fabric namespaces: Multi-agent systems needed isolated state scopes. Founders described the pattern, we built the API.
  • GPU compute scheduling: Founders running inference workloads needed GPU allocation that scales to zero. This is now in private beta for Founders.

Early Access to New Features

Founders get access to new features 30 days before general availability. Current early access features include:

  • GPU compute for inference workloads
  • MCP server deployment
  • Function Registry marketplace
  • Edge execution at 40+ global locations
  • Advanced Trust Layer with Tier 4 zero-knowledge proofs

You use these features first, stress-test them in production, and help us ship them with confidence.

Founders Badge and Governance

Every Founder receives a permanent badge on their profile that proves early membership. This is not just a vanity marker — it grants governance weight in community decisions and priority access to future programs.

When we make decisions about the platform direction, Founder votes carry more weight than general community votes. This is our way of ensuring the people who built with us from the beginning have a lasting voice.

Who We Are Looking For

The Founders Program is not for everyone. We are looking for builders who meet specific criteria:

  • You are actively building AI-powered applications or agents
  • You have a production workload (or will within 60 days)
  • You are willing to provide honest, detailed feedback
  • You care about infrastructure quality and developer experience
  • You want to be part of a community, not just a customer

We are not looking for the largest companies or the most funded startups. Some of our best Founders are solo developers building side projects that happen to need serious infrastructure. What matters is that you are building something real and you care about making it better.

Out of the 10,000 Founder spots, 9,999 are still available. The program just launched — you are early.

How the Program Works

The Founders Program runs in cohorts. Each cohort is a group of builders who join over a 2-week window and participate for 12 months.

Month 1: Onboarding

You get a dedicated onboarding session with an engineer who helps you migrate or set up your workload on FunctionFly. We want to understand your architecture, your pain points, and what success looks like for you.

Months 2-6: Active Building

You build, we support. The Slack workspace is active, the roadmap is open, and you have full access to every feature. We run monthly office hours where Founders can demo what they are building and get feedback from the team and other Founders.

Months 7-12: Feedback and Shaping

By this point, you have real production experience with the platform. We run structured feedback sessions, conduct 1:1 interviews, and use your input to finalize features for general availability. Your feedback during this phase directly determines what ships to the broader community.

Month 12: Transition

Founders transition to standard pricing (but at the locked-in Founder rate). You keep the badge, the governance weight, and the community access permanently.

What Founders Are Building

Our first Founders are already building:

  • Autonomous customer support agents that resolve tickets without human intervention
  • RAG pipelines that search across 500,000 internal documents in under 200ms
  • Multi-agent systems where a planner agent delegates to specialist agents and tracks progress through State Fabric
  • Secure credential rotation bots that manage API keys using the Zero-Knowledge Secrets Vault
  • AI-powered code review tools that run on every pull request and provide contextual feedback
  • Data pipelines that process millions of records daily with durable execution and automatic retry
  • Medical imaging analysis agents that process X-rays and MRIs with HIPAA-compliant attestation
  • Financial trading bots that execute strategies with sub-100ms latency using edge execution

These are not demos or prototypes. They are production workloads serving real users and generating real revenue.

How to Apply

The Founders Program application is straightforward. We ask three questions:

  1. What are you building?
  2. What infrastructure challenges are you facing?
  3. Why FunctionFly over alternatives?

No pitch decks, no revenue requirements, no gatekeeping based on company size. We read every application and respond within 48 hours.

To apply, visit functionfly.com/founders or email founders@functionfly.com with your answers.

Cohort 2 Timeline

The program is live now. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until all 10,000 spots are filled.

If you are interested but not sure you qualify, apply anyway. The worst that happens is we tell you to reapply when your workload is more mature. The best that happens is you join a community of builders who are shaping the infrastructure layer for the AI era.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cost to join? No. The Founders Program is free. You pay for the compute you use at the locked-in Founder rate, but there is no program fee.

Can I leave the program early? Yes. There is no lock-in. If FunctionFly is not the right fit, you can leave at any time. We would rather you leave happy than stay frustrated.

Does this replace the free tier? No. The free tier remains available to everyone. The Founders Program is an additional layer for builders who want deeper engagement and pricing benefits.

What if I am building on another platform? We welcome builders who are evaluating FunctionFly alongside alternatives. Many of our best Founders started by migrating a single workload and expanded from there.

How many spots are left? As of today, 9,999 of the 10,000 Founder spots remain. You are early — the program just launched.
